When load cells are embedded and concrete is poured in the pile (especially under water), concrete flow will be obstructed. The blockage will make that section of the load cells weak, and influence the displacement data and pile integrity.
Ougan Super Cells adopted the cone-shaped flow guide mechanism to solve this problem effectively.
Cone-shaped flow guides will be precast with high strength concrete, to ensure there is no gap between Super Cell load surface and concrete.
During installation, it can help to remove any risk of laitance build-up that may occur. They also improve the concrete flow, at the cell location, and between the upper/lower sections of the pile.
