The drill rig in the photos is the XR800E, the world’s largest large drill rig. This huge machine was on display at the recent Bauma China impressing attendees with its weight of 306 tons (637,000 lbs.) and a max torque of 800kNm (590,000 lbs./ft)
The drill assembly plant at XCMG is completely modern, utilizing the latest methods for manufacturing and quality control over the entire processes of manufacturing. The assembly line for rotary rigs is 138 meters long on which all components are assembled using automated equipment overseen by a highly trained workforce. XCMG has in-house schools for training their workers to consistently build world class drill rigs for the foundation industry.
The final product is a drill rig built to a quality standard to rival any other rig in the world, a machine built using the latest Volvo engines to satisfy the EU Stage IV and American EPA CARB Tier 4 final emission standards.
