The position of load cell in pile would be different from one project to another project. For instance:
1). Load cell is embedded at the pile toe, and same time load force from pile top is applied. The end bearing capacity is equal to the sum of pile shaft resistance and top load force.
2). Decrease the diameter of load cell lower part to get partially touch with pile toe.
Before loading, the decrease of effective touch area under load cell can make shaft resistance contribute completely; in the loading process, the complete contribution of pile shaft resistance offers sufficient counterforce to end resistance; after loading, the space around load cell lower part could be grouted with high strength cement for working pile.
