The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar (30th May this year).
Many traditional customs and activities are held on the special day by all Chinese citizens, and even by people in neighbouring Asian countries. Dragon boat racing and enjoying Zongzi are the central customs of the festival. In some regions in China, people also wear a perfume pouch, tie five-color silk thread, and hang mugwort leaves or calamus on their doors.
In order to celebrate this traditional festival, there will be a 3 days holiday from May 28 - 30. You can still reach me via email at info@ougangroup.com, or visit our website www.ougangroup.com. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
